I am looking for opinions on which companies build good overhaul kits. I have already found that the kit I am looking for is unavailable from this site. Thanks in advance.

Find someone who deals with A&I. They use name brand manufaturers, but are very reasonable on price.

For tractors that are actually still in use we go right to the dealer. For show tractors that will never see anything worse than 2-3 hours use at a plow day ever again I always search out and find the cheapest kit I can find becasue if the tractor gets more than 25 hours a year on it I would be amazed and nobody is counting on it for anything other than to look pretty.

A friend of mine wants to rebuild a JD 2120. I will email him for a serial number.

Your JD dealer for parts. Your buddy will also need the service manual 1-800-522-7448. Don't grind the valves and seats. The engine won't start in cool or cold weather afterwards.
