Romance at 41 years. I did her shopping and she fixed beans, cornbread, apple pie and went to the auto parts for me(to fix her vehicle.) We have date night every night since I retired 7 years. No cruises or big vacations. But were sticking together.

I got my freedom for V.D. this year.

The g/f said she felt like she wasn't high enough on my prioroty list so she said either make more time for her or else... I took the else.

Kinda like the Geico "good news" commercials.... I just saved a $123(national average) on Valentines Day!

I think I'll just invest it wisely instead, ...on old tractor parts.

No problem remembering Valentines day here. It's only 12 days after Ground Hog Day so I just shop once and get both events over with together.

Feh. Cost me $90 in two orders to the same girl for flower arrangements. Sent a single white rose "to my single friend" and a HUGE arrangement with balloons and candy and Lillies and a tulip (all things she likes) and signed "a secret admirer".

Now that that's done (and she thinks somebody else likes her better than me) I think I'll go cut wood now.

Valentines Day and all those other holidays were
invented by the Card companies and promoted by the
US post office

Money, money, is it all based on money. Money here money there always money. I know I smell better if I have money, no I just think its just the money smell. Always money.

It is my birthday (my mom is still happy with the self made (with dad's help gift)). All the meaning is lost when we look to what we get. it is what we give. Born in '49, and happy with a nice snow here in central MN. JimN

Valentines day is Way OVER RATED its a joke, for one if the girl doesnt get what she really wants.... shes still not happy 2 if a friend of a girl gets something better than her shes still not happy. & all in all they take it out on the guys for not spending enough on them, girls are like tractors when needed the most there in someone elses back yard...
