I need to rent a trailer to haul a 1938 unstyled D can anyone tell me the width of theirs? (D)

Just came in from the shop and read your posting. I will bundle back up and go measure my 1936. Hold on it will take me about 15 minutes.

Ok tork rench here goes. 69" wide with 13-28 tire. 120" long from front tip of front tire to rear tip of back fender. 63" high to top of steering wheel. Have fun and chain the old girl down nice and tight.

Can't tell you the numbers you want but I can say this. I hauled my 1935 JD-D on a 16 foot car hauling trailer which is 6.5 feet wide between the rails and it fit just find between them. Hope that helps you
