I have a starrett ratchet with 2 sockets. One is one half inch and the other three quarters. It works good and is only slightly rusted. I posted a thread about it because I couldn't find your origional. My email is ejm_eef@yahoo.com

I got a ratchet so old that you have to push the square part out and reinsert from other side to change from loosen to tighten. Don't see any name. If you might know what it is, please post.

Is that the same Starrett that makes micrometers and precision measuring tools?

ya know, i found a box of old machinist stuff a bunch of years ago and still have some of the stuff. A old ratchet with "Unique" stamped on one side and "Will B. Lane" on the other- 6 sided drive head. Also, a Starret device that appears to be for measuring number of turns- it's like a big key, with a numbered metal gauge that spins at the rubber tip rotates. lookes like it was designed to be held against a rotating shaft. I keep 'em both n my mantel next to an old wooden Model T coil. Neat to look at, anyway.

Starrett tachometer. You put on a shaft and time it with your watch to calculate the rpm. Ahh the good ole days with the IH 141 combine.

Any chance you could post these a bit bigger, Dick? I like reading the "fine print."
