I have a New Holland TC40A 4X4, (40 Hp). I'm trying to figure out what size breaking plow I should get for it. Located some Ford and Dearborn 2 bottoms, and a few 1 bottoms. Mostly 14 and 16 inch. What should it be matched up with?

It isnt HP as much as weight, tire size, and does it have a three-pt that will adjust for a mounted plow. If you want to pull a trailer how wide is the rear spacing. Probably dont want more than 2 14s unless it weighs 5000lb.

What type ground you have and how deep you want it plowed.....lets say its not hard clay.....and not sand....some where in the middle...40HP 4x4 should handle 4 14"s.....a little clay, I would say 3 16"s no prowlem....

A TC40 it pretty light though. Is it a hydro or a gear trans? That'll make a lot of difference. Personally I think 2-12's will be a load on a TC40.
