i've got a 20 hp 42"cut Craftsman tractor and i've got problems with the drive belt coming off when clutched all the way down or sometimes just comes off. i've added two keepers to it and changed belts a couple of times but no luck thus far i mow about 3 acres with it and plow a little snow around the house in the winter where the pickup doesnt fit in. thanks in advance

I had the same problem, different brand of mower.
I figured that the belt is streaching under use.
Replaced with the next size smaller belt, a
little harder to get on, but no more problems

I have found that they only like the Factory Original type belt. They seem to shuck a standard V belt off.

Hi: Check and make sure that all the pulleys are in line. I am not familiar with that particular tractor, but had trouble with one that the "tightner" pulley and its mounting had worn and would shift out of alligment. Hope this helps.
