Hey guys,

I know there are at least three of us from Nova Scotia here...TractorSam & myself from the Valley, and RodInNS, though I don't know where he hails from.

Anyone else here from Nova Scotia or the Maritimes? Where abouts? The reason I ask is not only for the possibility of dropping in to visit, see collections, etc...but I know a couple people reasonably close to me that have antique tractors (It's amazing what one can discover when one looks hard enough), and I figured if they weren't on this site, perhaps they might like to be.

Cheers,

AR

The family history says the Scotch half staggered out of NS into Vermont and the French half staggered out of Quebec into Vermont. All were shipwrights and ended up in the Syracuse and Thousand Islands area of NY State. I hope to get up into NS and PEI one day see why they left!

Some of my family originally came from Port Royal.
Moved from Port Royal, "Acadie", to Nicolet, Québec, and then the USA.

My wife is a Lousiana Coonass and her French pedigree comes from there. Youuns got crawdads up there. I get tired of sucking heads after 46 years of being married to one.

No but you have beautiful province there. Got to know it almost too well when I pretty near piled up on the rocks off of Liscomb Harbor in fog while cruising downeast in my sailboat.

I saw lots of open land around Drum Head. That was back in 2000.

Well, my Grandma hailed from Wolfville -- lived on a farm there with her 10 siblings. House is still there but the land has long since been developed. About a dozen or so years too late to visit...rest her sweet soul.

Hi, I'm from Alberta but I have a whole bunch of relatives in Halifax and area. A couple of my Uncles joined the Navy, were stationed there and then stayed when they retired.
