When I was just a little kid, a long time ago, Grampa would have the sawyer come by with his buzz saw and cut up all the oak that had been cut and piled up above the house. His saw was on an old Model T frame and engine with a big 3 ft saw and a rocking horse to feed it. that thing would cut wood faster than you could with a chain saw.

They will cut faster than a chain saw. But it is more work to heft the logs up to the saw than it is to bring a modern, lightweight chainsaw down to the log.

Just wanted to show off my 7-1/2hp Galloway sawrig, it is a little scary but makes a great working display. It is complete, just like it was when it came out of the Wm. Galloway catalog in 1914. Thank You Gary!
