Hello to all.
My grandfather just recently told me about a tractor he bought as a young boy in Pennsylvania. He has no pictures of it, and he spent time drawing a picture of it. It is from what he recalls a 1920's Willy's Overland. The year is uncertain, the brand for sure.

I have not had much luck in a hunt to find out more about these tractors. I only found a short quip that said in a hard time after Willy's combined with Overland they produced tractors. Besides that, I know there are several tractors prone to be a truck converted into a tractor at that time frame. He even told me of some like this.

I would just like to know anything about these tractors, or anywhere I could possibly find information, and if at all possible, a photo.

If it will help, I can try to get his picture posted up here, but can't make any promises. It will take some doing.

Thank you to any willing to help and provide any kind of information.

I was doing some reading on Overland the other day. I found out Overland started in Terre Haute IN right up the road from me and then moved to Indianapolis, and then moved to Ohio. They had a record production year while they were moving! I would like to find one of the Oldsmobile tractors, but I will not hold my breath on that. They may have only made a few prototypes. Seems a lot of car companys tried building tractors at one time or another. GMC made the Samson, Ford had the Fordson, just to name a few and a few tractor companys made cars! Case, IH, are two I can think of. Case even entered a few cars into the Indy 500!

Might try to google "Willys Tech" forum. Pretty good site. I think some of the YT'ers post there from time to time. Hope this helps! bob f.

A google search turned up a news item that in September, 1918 that Willys-Overland bought the Minneapolis Plow Company. No other information was stated. Could this possibly be the Willys-Overland tractor?... Gene
