Many of the Indian Mahindras are built on the same platform as the tractors International Harvester sold around 1959 - 1960. I've got a few - two IH B-275s and one IH B-414. Some of the new tractors retain up to 80% of the same parts used in the early 60s.

When I buy new parts, over the counter from the Case-IH dealer, they come in a Mahindra wrapper.

In regard to your 6000 though, it has an updated transmission with constant-mesh gears instead of sliding spur-gears.

A friend of mine bought a new one in 2004.He was moving snow with the rear blade when he hit a stump with the corner of the blade. It broke the transmission housing under where he was sitting.

Made in India. Mahindra a large manufacturer of military vehicles for Indian army- licensed by IHC England to assemble British pattern tractors, then licensed manufacture of parts, final manufacturer of complete tractors with IHC tooling. Still has a submanufacture/license parts relationship with Case/IHC/NH about 2005, not sure what it is now. Some new designs, some renumbered new sheet metal of 1980s Britsh patterns. Quality mostly considered good on parts, basic tractors- old military inspection standards from a army that has been scrapping with neighbors past few years and doesn't want breakdowns in combat. Price is competitive.
