I have a question for someone familar with the State of Wyoming. My wife and i traveled through Yellowstone and up across the Bighorn Mountains and out through Cody Wy. this past spring. While traveling somewhere around Burgress Junction or maybe east of there before we connected with I90 we saw an old Airport or Aviation wrecking yard.As i recall it was on the left side of the road.I regret that we did not stop and look at the planes. Some looked like rather large vintage military planes or cargo planes. Is anyone familar with this area and know where i saw these planes? We possibly will travel the same route again one day and i would like to stop and check it out this time.Thanks.

Let google.maps be your friend on this one. Switch to the satalite imagery, and redrive the trip.

This is pure speculation. I think one of the big aerial forest-fighting outfits are out of Wyoming. They use a lot of older prop driven aircraft, and I imagine they would keep some extra aircraft on hand for parts.

Since you dont have your location listed I have no idea where you are coming from but if you go through Lincoln or Omaha Nebraska MAKE SURE you stop by the SAC Museum!

We spent two days there!
