We"ve had and used a 910 Cat as a cleanup loader for several years and have discovered Cat has discontinued any parts for it. I need to find a salvage yard that has one that is still relatively complete. Can anyone suggest a yard that has Cat machines?

I rebuilt the torque, trans, and output gears for a 910 at a cat dealer recently and ordered the parts through our parts dept. and no problems getting parts. Not sure what you are trying to get that is a problem.

I find it odd that Cat would discontinue parts. A lot of people prefer older Cats because parts are still available. Pricey but still available. Maybe the parts guy was just lazy? Dave

I was thinking along the same lines... I didn't know that Cat actually discontinued parts. I just thought they charged more for the more obscure stuff, and I didn't think that the 910 fit that category really?

There is a pretty big salvage yard in Eau Claire, WI. They have a website, thilltractor.com, chances are they've got something up there.

You may want to try your local Cat dealer. The cat dealer near me is parting out all of their older/obsolete trade ins rather than try to fix them up for resale.

I work for a local cart dealer and we happen to use a 910b as a yard loader, it is a good little machine. If you are unable to find a parts machine you should talk to the used parts salesman at your local cat dealer, they have a nation wide computer system of used parts.
