You asked how many feet and how deep my water loops are.

I have 4-400 foot loops for my 4 ton geothermal system. (1600' total)

They are buried under ground in a pit, the was dug 7' deep and 110' long and 12 foot wide.

The water line is just regular 1" plastic line that came in 400' rolls so there are no splices underground.

Dad installed a heat pump in 2003. He has 5 loops 160 feet deep each. 5 ton heat pump. Seems to do the job quite nicely.

Gary: Thanks for the info, just trying to get a rough idea of the length and size. Your getting quite good efficiency for the investment. That system should be close to trouble free for a lot of years.
