The generator on my jubilee keeps slowly turning after I turn the tractor off. While running the ampmeter is registering a -1amp. What gets me is even though I have turned the tractor off and even removed the key the generator continues to rotate slowly, but not enough to move the belt. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

1.) Your voltage regulator is mis-wired, or the points in it's "cutout' section are welded "closed". If you continur to allow this to occur, the gnerator will be "toast", WELL DONE toast, at that!

2.) How darned loose it the fanbelt, anyhow? NO WAY the gnerator should be able to "motor" if than fanbelt is reasonably tight!

Better disconnect the bat wire as it is going to the wrong place and the gen is motoring

I don't know generator systems well but sounds like its wired wrong or the V.R is bad

Sounds like the reverse current relay in the voltage regulator is stuck closed. This relay has a set of contacts that close when the gen. is charging and open when the tractor shuts down in order to prevent what you are describing. If left like it is now it will drain the battery and other more harmful things as well. You might try cleaning and filing the contacts and adjusting them as well.A good service manual helps here.
