Looking for a new row crop tractor in the 70-110 pto hp range. Don't need anything fancy just a good durable tractor. Most likely will go with a New Holland as their is a good dealor close by who takes care of the other tractors.

What is the difference between the following NH models?

T6000
TB__
TS__
TL__

I'll be using this primarily for transplanting and cultivating with a little tillage for good measure. 8' disc and 3-16 mounted plow.

What are the vegtable guy's using?

You would probably be money ahead to go with a lighter tractor like the TN or TD series tractors. The TB and TS/6000 series are much heavier tractors. You didn't list anything there that requires more than 60 hp in my mind... A smaller lighter tractor would be more manuverable and more efficient I would think.

The 6000 series are the new models with the new engines and I believe some form of CVT transmission.
The TS-A series was basically the same thing I believe but only built for a couple years. IT represented the change to the new engine and a full changeover of Blue paint to Fiat components. The 'original' TS series was the final evolution of Ford's last tractors... based on the powerstar tractors. TS was a good tractor. No experience with the TS-A and beyond...

The TB series is the very last of the Ford line. They're basically a knocked down basic TS tractor, Genesis engine, and the old Ford 8x2 crash box behind it. I believe they're assembled in Mexico. The design is well proven...

The TL was a blue painted Fiat. Everything in those tractors is of Fiat heritage as far as I know, with the possible exception of the transmission. The models I've seen ahve all been pretty basic plain jane tractors. Decent tho.... but no Ford... but I'm a Ford man.

What kind of luck have you had with your TD? I sure didn't like the quality of fit and finish compared to the other NH's.

only got 16 hours on it,probably tell you better a year from now. seems to be all the same italian components as the others. i traded off a tn75A with 360 hours because i hated the electric reverser.

Go on to New Hollands website and research the specs on them all and compare physical size and weight. Perhaps go talk to the dealer in person and go see those models your interested in, but don't let them pressure you into buying today if your mind is not completely made up. Once you get some prices on the various models you will be getting a clearer picture of what you want.
Hope this helps,
