I know that this should be over at the political board, but honestly I'm not so sure that it does not resemble alot of slop house conversations where as the one who shouts the loudest must be right, and if ya don't think I'm smart let me drink alittle more an I'll tell ya just how smart I am. I get uncomfortable just reading some of the insults from brainiacks. I do enjoy the information I can gather by alot of smart folks, and how certian political things relate to their lives. But the ones with nothing to offer must simply critsize and insult. I guess that goes with polital crap.

Although I'm noted as good humored by everyone but my EX, and her attorney (they just don't get me I guess). I am totaly upset with Iowa being first in the political scam or sewer pit.

Yesterday they broke a record, twenty three phone calls after five PM. Usualy about six to eight, and one eve thirteen. Before you break foul, I have caller ID, and I'm on the do not call list. However I get some phone calls from old army buddies etc. I run a business so I do not use a recorder, as most of my customers like the NO RECORDER phone. Most know my cell, but not all of them as the number has been on a old piece of cardboard for fourty years next to their phone.

Yes, I know I could turn the recorder on, but it just ticks me off. Where is our mentality going when our politicians think that by showing up to make a speach, regardless if they are ---picking up speed, realy motivating us, and promising a real change, and SURVING us common folks rather than the loby scum. Oh h*ll yea I will run right out an vote for you after you call me, by the way please call and remind me to get out an vote everyday before the election.

Let me promise you all I use every bad word I can think of when responding including the F bomb. Where is Lee Harvy Oswal now that we realy need him?

So being I carried on like a politician avoiding a question (even if it is my own) does anyone know of a grass root effort to have a do not call list? Not the crap they handed down a few years ago? I can honestly say it definatly was long overdue, and does help.

While I'm on a rant here, A good friend of mine is the county acessor, not a real popular guy and all, but he sells all property owner lists to siding companies, insurance companies etc. Did ya know that? I think he needs to be pubicly horse whipped. He says it brings in money for the county. Go figure.

Well sorry, and thanks for the threrapy, and a shoulder to cry on. Probaby if most of you guys wanted to hear a bunch of complaining, you could have simply asked--how was your day dear?

Got to get something done today, been doin the IRS proof of purchase listing thing, and trying to figure out a way of procrastinating I guess.

Selling lists to siding companies? Why that scoundrel. Before the "don't call registry" I had a high pressure siding salesman on the phone at evening meal time on a Sunday. I asked if he could hurry and send a man out to look? "Oh yes, by next week" "Good", I said, "Can you install windows too"? "Sure", he says "anything else"? "Yes," Isaid, "Could you put a new roof on for me while you're at it"? He replied "Oh my, this is my lucky day". "Yes" I said "but hurry because I am going to file for bankruptcy and I want all this work done first so I won't have to pay for it." I'll tell you right now, he hung up on me, and I didn't hear from another siding company for years.

One thing you could do is burp and *art into the phone just to see what they do. Tell them you are drinking AND driving right now and being on the phone while driving too would be too unsafe.

Politicians came up with the Do Not Call law, but they exempted themselves and some other groups- like police associations. With others, I just tell them that I"m on the list, they are violating Federal law, do you want to continue this conversation?

The powers that be in Michigan tried to do that to us this year. They moved the primary up to mid January to make us "relavant" and bring politicians money in to this depression state. It backfired on 'em. Moving it up broke the rules of both parties and both are saying that they won't even seat Michigans delegates. So politicians are pretty much ignoring this state this year, and it'll be over quick.

If only we could hold them responsible for the promises they make before the election.....

Tax acessor...Many years ago We had a really nice Lumber company/hardware store near by. Cheap prices and everything in stock. BUT seems that every time someone did anything to improve thier house or property, they also got an automatic tax increase. Company filed for bankrupcy after 3 years in business. Guess who's Brother was the manager there?

Your tax accessor should have the $hit beat out of him for selling addresses like that. I hear ya on the do not call list. ALL the politicians Elephants and Jackasses are way out of touch with the common man.

I had one kid call me on Sunday morning doing a political survey who couldn't even pronounce the word cosponser. I told him that if people like him were in charge of our future, we are SCREWED.(I used a different word than screwed though)

All we get out here in Oregon is Poles asking if we are moving back east to vote. "Hell" by the time we vote out here everything has been decided back east.
And you think you got problems.
Walt

PS I'll vote for any guy that owns an OLD Tractor. I figure he has to be smart enough to get past the BS.

I have one thing to say to any political caller. I WILL NOT VOTE FOR ANY CANDIDATE THAT USES PHONE MARKETING. Maybe I won't get to vote for anybody but at least they have been warned. And when they call I will politly say "Sorry, you just lost my vote"
