Not talking 'bout the machine. I'm wondering about my sanity. :>)

That old sister has some hours on it. Look at the belt track on the bin. It's not oil neither; just dirt and crud from a million acres. :>(

Alan, Morning Ol Pard! Do not be dismayed at the path you have chosen. We see people every day find an old car, truck, tractor, etc, etc "just like the one We, Dad, Mom, Grand Dad, etc, etc had!!
You have found a "Piece" of your past. You Go For It! Non of us here on the Boards have a right to pass judgement, or opinion on this Combine project.
Just because a Combine is a less glamerious object than a old car or tractor or pickup doesn't discount this Machines worth to you. Sometime, somewhere your kids will value this combine as you do.
Saw a show where a fellow had some junkies show up at his place lookong for steel, old plows and the like. They had a "shell" of an old Moline tractor on their trailer. The Man identified it as a old family tractor of 30 yr prior, by modifications that were still in place. This tractor would have been better Crushed, BUT it was his Dads old tractor, He bought it on the spot, spent a boat load of money but, it is now show ready.
You GO Man! Look Forward to when it is ready to cut Wheat! Happy New Year to You and Yours!
Later,
John A.

I think we all do some goofy things from time to time, so you can question the sanity of all of us. Some are just more stubborn than others. I have faith in you, Allen, if anybody can make that old girl run like a new one, you da man fer da job. Have a safe new year. Chris
You might want to think about a new roof for the Big blue machine shed, she's lettin snow in on your combine.

Hi Allan; Looks like she is almost ready for the winter wheat. Shouldnt need electric for that, no AC needed and steam heat provided internally. lol
Have lots of fun in the New Year!! Bob

You do not need to lie about the subject(cant afford)part.. you will never out live it. I have a neighbor that says the same thing about himself, all he wants me to do is say "HEY I KNOW YOU CAN AFFORD IT"
