I've been reading on this site for months now and have just decided to start posting, sometimes a slow learner. I bought a MM za a few months back, has a bush hog loader and had sat for a few years ,flat tires ,didn't run , etc... I bought it because the price was right and got it running, it runs good , still needs a lot of work.I 've had a divil of a time learning much about this tractor, Even the repair manual on MMs that came with it has a very small section on the ZA. I'd just like some more general Knowledge about it, was it good , bad ,run of the mill, what?I had planed on selling it to raise money to buy my neighbory combine (need that in the spring), but I kind of like it and may keep it. I've kinda fallin into this tractor collecting ,much to wifes demise,I may be broke but I have a lot of tractors, just can't have to many,LOL. thanks for your Input in advance, Jeff.

I don"t know if I"m putting this response in correctly but here goes.I realize I probably should have put this in the MM forum but I was hoping to get a broader view of my purchase.I want to thank those that responded, it sounds like I"ve got a good old tractor. If I can figure out how to install its lift mechanism on the rear, it came with it,someone took it off,and then figure out how to use it with 3 Point equip.I think I"ll keep it. Thanks again, Jeff

They are really good and tough machines, they are simple to service and keep running. We gots 2 ZAU 1 ZB and a ZTUU. Which all tractors are all about the same. They are reliable and last along time. There are still many in operation around and they are popular. We have many parts so if you need any just give me a yell.

My dad bought a ZA new, then bought a case silage chopper, with the insistence of the dealer, paid for both the first year. Best tractor he ever bought. It got away from us when my brother died, but we don't need to go into that.
