I was talking to a guy the other day and he said that the 70 followed the G but they had so many problems with the 70 they started making the G again for a while any truth to this or another dreamed up story? Merry Christmas!!!!!

I,m no expert, but I think somebody spiked his eggnog. I have read several books about JD and if it happened, it's not in them. As I understand it, JD was trying to get farmers to switch to diesel, and more diesels were made than gas. I have seen more gas than diesels, so makes me wonder. One of my uncles had a new 70 gas and he was always complaining about the 70 and the high altitude pistons that would only last a year and then you couldn't find any to replace them. He finally traded it for a super88 and didn't have another JD till early 70's when he got a used 4020. Chris
