Any of you guys think $30,000,000 (of our tax dollars) is a little much to spend to come up with names of 80 baseball players who may have used steriods? Does anyone even care?!? I certainly don't!

Do they need steroids to chew tobacco. Seriously all sportsmen caught doing steroids etc. should be banned for life and thrown in jail. Though I don't pay tax in the U.S. I believe Walt has a very good point.

Baseball players on Steroids, Football and Basketball players are thugs & criminals.. Us taxpayers are expected to pay for new stadiums so they can pay thugs 10 million a year to show up and play a few games..

Soldiers and police officers can barely afford to keep their families housed & fed... What is Wrong, here ????

I completely agree, but unfortunately, your typical sports fan is way too stupid to see the problem, or admit that there is anything wrong with this. The sports franchises should be made to pay their own way, for each and every cent of the cost it costs to maintain them.
The mind-numbed robots that have nothing better to do than fantacize about their 'heroes' are nothing but losers, too inept to do anything useful with their lives.
Interestingly, most any baseball player is head and shoulders above the average, bred-for-purpose, semi-literate, criminal football or basket ball player. I doubt if any football player or coach can say more than 2 consectutive words without a DUH, or You Know being thrown in.

Baseball is a dull sport from the 19th century guess they have to do something to get people to
watch.Maybe give the catcher and the runner ball bats to fight for home plate would work

I think that for what the ball players get paid they should be required to take steroids, HGH and amphetemines three times a day! Maybe then I wouldn't be asleep by the bottom of the fourth.

It's just entertainment. As I get older baseball becomes less important.Cheating and performance enhancement has been going on before they made all this stuff illegal.More drunks in professional sports than you can shake a stick at.Great example for the young people.

If you all watch sports, and thats all you can talk about at work, yeah who cares about the drug issue. But for the generation of parents that what the little johnnie to be the hero at the latest baseball, football, or basketball game, heads up. If little Jonnie will do better with drugs"All Right" I say burn their professional buts. Cheaters are what they are Cheaters, If you have to cheat to win, and get the big money, you say who cares, examine your selves.

"Sports" and "Hero" don't belong in the same sentence. Never have, IMHO, and CERTAINLY not in the last 30 years.

This country's fascination with jocks and actors is a sickness.

Do you really think there is anyone left in Washington that cares how much they spend as long as a good percentage lands in their personal account. On a day to day and stadium to stadium basis, what is the giverment subsidity for baseball at any time. Highly paid welfare if you ask me.

It is sad isnt it. That the government had to find out how many BB players take Performance enhance drugs. (They all do) Who the F cares. The baseball industry cant police themselves so uncle sam has too, sounds more like an FBI job not the justice dept. If it were me I would stop ALL tax dollars that go to build stadiums. (what a fricken waste)

The Mitchell report was internal, that is MLB commissioned the report, not the federal government.

I agree, it's ridiculus that the feds spend that money on baseball. Let them fund thier own drug testing.
