I've got some time to kill, so I thought I'd paint my truck : ) Imported the image to MS Paint and went to town with the paintbrush. I think it looks pretty sharp. It came from the factory IH Red, and I *think* I'll paint it all red again. Whadya think?

Hey in-too-deep, I've got a black 1959 B100 stepside with a V8 that I'm thinking about selling. I've had it 30 years but it is now more in the way than useful. I don't want to give it away but don't want to be robbed either. Any idea what it would be worth? Good body, mechanically fair.

Wish I had an answer for you, but I'm really bad at guessing value, 'specially sight unseen. You might wander on over to oldihc.org and poke around there. Where are you located? Email's open.

B 120? would look good if all Red[IH Red that is]w/Black Frame. I had one about 1963 with a 348 V-8 and 4 speed. Good Truck but my old 1948 L 120 was a good truck also as was my 1955 R 110 and they all were Ih Red. IH Green was a popular color in those days as I recall.

Whew, good eye!! It's a '59 B-120 with a BD240 and 4 on the floor. Yeah I like to keep things original, so it might get just straight IH red, but I think that two-tone looks really sharp. That '48 L-120, could that be a '58 L-120? 'Cause in '48 it would've been a KB, a truck that lust for every time I see one. : ) Emails open if you wanna chat trucks s'more.

You're right, at 70 years some times memory falters a bit. I enjoyed all my IH trucks as I had about a 1/2 dozen at different times, the one I really miss is my V 200 Tandem Tractor.Had a 549 V8 and Road Ranger Transmission . Pulled a 38' Low boy with it hauling mostly Construction Equipment. This was in the late 1960's. Had Twin Chrome 5" Stacks and Alum.Budds and lots of Chrome. It too was IH Red.

Mmmmm the only thing better than big, old IH trucks is big, old IH trucks with lots of shiny stuff! There's a scrap yard near me with a 1940's road tractor and I'd love to take a better look at it. I'm not ambitious enough to take on a semi-tractor project though : )

Aside from throwing a "coat" of Seaweed green and white on it, no, I haven't. I wish I had a place with more storage so I can give it the attention I'd like to give it. It was needing a tune-up and fresh gas last time I ran it. Never did get to the brake line either. Hopefully come spring I can get a wrench and a license plate on it and run it down the road a little.

I think it will look good, but make sure you get a better brush. LOL

I always like the looks of them old Binders. My first truck was a 72 IH 1/2 ton, 3 speed on the column, and strong arm steering. I remember the clutch was very hard to depress, almost had to stand on it to get it pushed in. Then I really goofed up and traded it for a Chevy.

That's the way it used to look? I like it. My old 1975 1 1/2 ton used to have a black lower area and highway yellow hood and top

Naw, it was ALL red originally, but I HAVE seen some painted two-tone like that from the factory, but that had chrome trim dividing the two colors...I'm lacking that chrome trim : (

I don't know, might wanna get it in the dry and check it over when you get the time.

I always say you can never have enough sheds to work in.

Chrome, yeah, ugh, what a PITA. Big money too for rechroming. :(

Well, I've finally got it under a roof, but barely. I've only got a 1 1/2 car garage at the place I'm renting now. JUST enough room for a tool chest, bench, lawnmower, and truck. I'm a LONG way from redoing any sheet metal, and that has to wait until I have a decent shop. I'll just dream for now : ) Oh, and I haven't even checked prices for re-chroming. My checkbook might get scared and jump off a cliff.

Haha, yeah, the wheels are all there, just half buried : ) I've got some rubber under it now. Atleast now I can drag it around and make truck noises. ; )
