Good day. I am looking to buy a used tractor and it is a Massey Harris Ferguson. I can read the serial plate no problem but can"t find the model. Serial # is TEA377744 Is this a Te20 tractor? How many hp, what fuel? I assume gas. Just not sure what I have here. Thanks. If desired I can email a photo. There is no sheet metal on it now.

Ferguson (No Massey, no Harris) 1954 TEA-20 Gas 28 PTO HP

TE-20 Had a Continental engine, but the name was changed to TEA after the introduction of the Standard engine after the first 48,000. Should have a vertical mounted coil on the left hand side of the engine.

Built at the Banner Lane plant in Coventry. Brings about $1500 around here in nice shape. Similar to the TO (Tractor Overseas) built in the US. Prices run slightly higher on the TO due to increased parts availability.
