Ok, so I know I should have an owners manual, but I haven't got that far yet. We have an old Mercury Rocket snowmobile with a 335 cc 25 hp CCW engine. What should the oil to gas ratio be for it? I'm assuming 32:1, but this is a thing I just don't want to "guess" on.

The ancient mixtures of 12, 15 or 20 to 1 mixed with non detergent motor oil. That was the bad old days. It did keep the skeeters away while outside in the summer. Just about any old twostroke will run better with modern low ash two stroke oil mixed at double the original ratios. That would be 24,30 or 40 to 1.

All of our old sleds took 20:1 ratio, so 20 quarts of gasoline (5 gallons) to 1 quart of oil. Be sure you get the oil made for air-cooled engines and NOT the stuff for liquid cooled.
