I have been looking for over a year for the main big gear in the round gear box for a contantial belly mower. The big gear is striped clean and there are no more replacement parts. Any ideas or help is dearly needed...or leads to another

Jeff, Sorry I didn't check the boards last night, got in late and went to sleep in my easy chair.
Anyway, the company is Ag-Meier Industries, Call 800 446-7919. If you don't get anywhere, let me know Ser-#, Model, and the next time I am over at Belton, I will stop by and see what I can do!
OBTW...Thank you for your Service! Please relay our Thanks to those close to you in your platoon! Look forward when all ya'll come home. Merry Christmas, Ya'll.
Later,
John A.

Well John, actually I thought you had an idea of someplace else. Ag Meir was the very first place that tried last december. I talked to the tall younger guy there in charge of parts and showed him exactly the part that I needed in the exploded diagrams. He told me that he would look and maybe he had a bew one or maybe a old one that was repairable maybe. After my return to here my wife ask him again. He said that he didnt have anything for me. paying a good ammount of money for a good one is not a problem. Having one made by a machine shop is not out of the question either. But to do that I would need some diagram or something of that sort to get it started. Grasping at straws is coming to mind hahaha. I need to do something. Maybe even adapting a different gear box is a good way to fix it?? Any ideas??...Jeff

Jeff, You could start asking around to see if you can find another, mower like yours to canabelize the gearbox off of. (IE) Used implement yards, around, maybe that used tractor/implement yard up at Abbot,Tx. They may know of one somewhere even if they don't have one. Or try to find a gearbox to crossbreed on to your mower, That are the only two other opitions I can think of at this time.
Sorry I can't be of more help.
Later,
John A.
