i know that it is possiable to use fryer oil in your diesel tractor after you have removed the glycerin and solids from the oil. just wondering if anybody has tried using fryer oil in their gun type oil furnace. any ideas? plenty of time to fiddle as i am retired and just about broke for buying #2 fuel oil.

My first thought on fryer oil is this. There aint gonna be enough to go around.Gov is requiring any one collecting it have a federal license. You will have to pay road taxes if it is used on the highways. My fuel oil dealer says he is stopped by IRS agents often. They are looking for red dyed fuel in his trucks fuel tank.
