I recently purchased a newer Kubota tractor. I would like to install either a grapple or 4n1 bucket. The problem is that I do not have an auxillary hydraulic port. I am also considering converting over to skid steer quick attach.

I have looked at the wlLong bucket and they have two options for hydrolic control. Either a diverter valve which give full flow to the third fuction but you have to give up one function when activiated. The other is electric over hydraulic, I would have all three functions available at the same time but the third function does not have full flow which would limit my ability to use some skid steer tools.

If I can't use a variety of skid steer tools, I could save a few hundred dollars buying a pin on 4n1 instead of buying a skid steer adapter.

To many trade offs without a clear winning solutions.

I would be interested in anyones experience or options.

I'd be willing to bet that the present joystick you have is of the power beyond type. If that's the case just plumb another valve to the power beyond port of the joystick and then "T" the returns together. That's how ours is done and it works fine. If you need a fourth function, add a 2 spool valve instead of a single...
Do go with the skid steer adapter system. That's worth more than the 4in1 bucket in my opinion.

I'd just toss the joystick and get a three spool valve. I have one for my bale grapple. They're not that expensive, clean instalation.

A quick hitch on the loader is as important as a quick hitch on a 3pt hitch, or on headers on a combine, or for backhoe buckets. We made a Bobcat-style hitch for our #34 loader mounted on a 1941 farmall M and would not to be without it. Armand

Have you tried the surplus center? If you just want to run the loader off of one circuit the you must have a parrel system

I have a joystick for the loader, I just don't have a third spool for the grapple, 4n1, auger ect.

I'm trying to keep this project reasonable.

For about $125, I've found a diverter that switches between curl and grapple.

For about $400, I've found an electric over hydrolic that allows you to curl and grapple at the same time. However, it does not provide enough flow for other tools.

The only true third spool that I have found that I know will work with my tractor is from the dealer and it is $512.

None of these prices include hoses, fittings or instillation.

If I buy the skidsteer adapter and diverter, I'm looking at $425 plus cost of fittings and instillation.

At this point I'm thinking by the time I buy the 4n1 bucket, the adapter and all of the hoses/fittings, the extra cost of the Kubota spool is minor but it still feels like I am being robbed.

I have a friend that used to work at the John Deere dealership who has his own shop now, do you think it would be reasonable to have him put an OEM spool on the tractor. I really have no idea weather there are specific parts or they can be fitted and connected with generic parts.

My only experience with hydrolics is bolting on loose pumps and changing broken hoses.

I appreciate any insights.
