Hauled a load of brick to the coast yeaterday. fortunately, the only road open was the closest one for me to get across the coast range. Power lines down, whole sections of forest with the tops out. It was ugly.

Feeling kind of bummed right now. Local radio station (Chehalis) got flooded out fairly early on, and the newspaper is on the "wrong side of the pond", so haven't had a paper in a couple of days. Got out and about a little today, and the news wasn't good. Appears that every dairy cow in the Bunker Creek and Curtis valleys has drowned. Nice little "feel good" sheep cheese dairy, whose grand opening barbecue we went to last summer, lost all 130 of their sheep to the floodwaters. Several local stores completely wiped out, unlikely to ever reopen. Just can't imagine what it would feel like, to look at your life's work, just gone. Gonna weep a little bit over in the corner, just ignore me.

Younger than me, I live up on a hill 400 ft. elevation if I go under you can kiss a lot of the rest you goodby.
But the creek below the house did cover the road by 2 ft. of water.
