A guy out east of Sheridan stopped this morning while I was feeding. Asked if I knew anybody looking for a place to put a few hundred head of cattle next summer. Said he's building all new fences and wants a lot of cattle on his place with a lot of manure. Said he's not looking for 25-30 cow calf pair, but someone to haul in feed and keep moving the feeders to build up his sandy ground. I don't know how many acres he has,80-120 I think,so there will be a little pasture at first. Any of you guys know off hand anybody that might be looking for such a place? I don't think he cares if they are black steers, holstein heifers or anything in between.

Maybe hes looking to get his property to be a feedlot to hinder development in the area, GOOD FOR HIM< I wish I had a few thousand to send him every year.

No,there's no development value in anything around here.He hasn't had any cattle in quite a few years and the light ground that he has is getting farmed out. He says he doesn't want to start farming again himself, but will if he has to.The big dairys put cattle out now and then, but usually want them on concrete and inside.
