I drive a county plow truck when not farming, and i was spreading salt/sand last night during the storm and a idiot went around me got about 1/4 a mile and went in the ditch. I stopped to see if he was ok and he started complaining that i was driving to slow. I was going 30 mph while spreading. I was going to pull him out till he cussed and told me I should have had that road already salted. I called dispatch for a tow for him. could have saved him $50.

I would have made sure the cops knew he was driving like an idiot so he would get a ticket to go along with the tow bill.

it'll be 5 years on the 23rd of this month that I lost my oldest daughter on a icy portion of 135 in Wichita, Ks. she was a passenger in a Prelude and as the driver got onto the hwy she spun out. a dodge truck going too fast couldn't stop and t-boned them. my daughter was stuck in the seat with her seat belt on. a fire had erupted but she was pulled out by a fantastic black man that stopped to help. she was dead from the impact. the guy that hit her said that she had gone to a better place, that it was just her time. All i know is that if he had been going slow she would probably be here now. SLOW DOWN. i grew up in Michigan and know all too well that it's the speed that KILLS. don't take much for granted now.
Kent,

I was coming home from the hunting camp the other night, had a load of firewood in the back of the truck and the roads were a solid sheet of ice. In a 15 mile stretch of I-77 through canton, Ohio, there were 4 accidents northbound, 4 accidents southbound. Most of them had SUVs involved. I heard this morning that 1 woman was killed near my house saturday night. I was doing 30-40 miles an hour and people were passing me like crazy

Don't you love morons like that? Roads were pretty slick out by us too but best we can do is slow down.

If he was already past you, your "slowness" was no longer an issue. Maybe if he was going a little faster, he would have St Peter to worry about.

I guess he had one of those invincible SUV's ? Obviously didn't know how to drive . We have new Cooper S/T's on our '02 Dodge 2500 . It has a locked rear end , 4 wheel drive and is a quadcab with a shortbox . It was miserable driving on the roads last night . 4 inches of sleet and snow with ice on top and the county crews weren't out . Couldn't get over 20 mph in 4 wheel drive . It worked a little better in 2 wheel drive believe it or not . Didn't really want to go faster . Can't protect people from their own stupidity ! Keep up the good work ! ...Randy

Typical idiot, blaming you for his mishap..

You might have been driving slow, but he was the one in the ditch, LOL..
