The year is 1907, one hundred years ago.....

Theodore Roosevelt's ideas on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN in 1907.

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people." Theodore Roosevelt 1907

Every American citizen needs to read this!

You want to see a mess and billions of wasted tax dollars spend on building empires for politicians and snivel servants. Plus the billions of dollars directly lost in added manufacturing, shipping, office overhead etc. Have a look at Canada and the separate country within Canada called Quebec that we must bow and pander to so we don’t offend the tender French.

Just once I'd like to make a phone call and hear "If you want to speak English, press 1, if you want to speak Spanish, hang up!! Our elected speaker of the house Ms. Pelosi now want all employers to communicate in both English and Spanish!! What a sad day. My ancestors spoke German, but they learned English and made sure their kids did too.

Sounds like Teddy read the bible. Jesus said you are either a Christian or your not, there is no middle of the road. Pretty good advice don"t ya think. This country was founded on God"s word and Godly principles, it"s about time we get back to that. When He returns those that are not believers will wish they were.

I am ANTI-IMMIGRANT

Unfortunately, my "very conservative" president is a Mexican himself. He's related to some, and he really likes them being here. I'm very conservative and I say my "very conservative" president is not very conservative anymore!

Too bad Washington big nuts can't go by those ideas. They wouldn't have any problem deciding who is illegal and who isn't.

We really need another Teddy Roosevelt today. He was a tru Amnerican and said what he was really thinking. No pussyfooting around trying to be pollitically correct and he got things done.

We need an Australian version of that one! We have a similar problem here with many immigrants wanting a divided allegiance. And the politicians are too gutless to do anything about it.
