I buy some penny-ante stuff on EBay; manuals etc.
I've never had a PayPal account, paying by check or POMO.
Before 11-9-07, sellers invoices always had sellers mail address.
Since 11-9 or so, Invoice page has no address; "Pay Now" button on invoice takes me to pg 1 (review page), "continue" at bottom of pg 1 takes me to pg 2, which has Paypal box AND SHOULD HAVE buttons at both left corners of PayPal box for "other payments"; when I get those buttons, I get page 3 with sellers mail adds...
BUT most invoices since 11-9 have NO "other payment" buttons, and NO WAY to get past pg 2... (I get mail adds's by email to seller)
Question: EBay says to contact PayPal; I've never dealt with PayPal in any way---who runs that outfit, EBay or PayPal???

I used to use PayPal and thought it was great, but it just turned into a big, expensive hastle. Now I use money orders, but I really don't buy too much off e-bay anymore.

I dont use Paypal and suggest to all of my friends that they do not use their services either as they do not support the rights we have as American Citizens they are very anti gun.

Have a read here to understand this to the fullest. http://www.ktordnance.com/kto/paypal_problems.php

My view of Paypal is its just another way to have my bank account and credit card numbers in the hands of a few more folks that I don't know or trust.I always email the seller before hand to see if a MO is OK if its not listed and if it is I bid if not I buy from someone else.So far I have always run out of money before running out of places that I don't need Paypal(LOL)

Gotta say I'm in the same camp with most of the others on this thread- PayPal is the way to go, at least for small stuff. Virtually nobody will accept personal checks- too much of a risk. Money orders are a PITA for buyer- I don't want to spend half an hour going to the post office, paying for the money order, mailing it out, etc. I've gotten to the point that if its a small item, and seller insists on MO, I just send the cash with an explanation that I don't have time for money orders- here's "coin of the realm". I know its risky, but I haven't been burned yet. I've never had an iota of trouble with PayPal.

Love Paypal, even if they did slow down a little in recent months. Just bought a part from a guy thru the classifieds and all I needed was his e-mail to get it in the mail next day. He generated the label thru Paypal so I know when it was shipped.

I to agree pay pal is the way to go figure the M/O fee and one week mail time. It does not make much scence in this day and age for small items. Most use a credit card to order items over the phone, same idea. Yes it has some faults I have used it for years with no great problems.

Make sure when you buy some thing that they will take money orders. Some want Pay-pal only. You can set up a Pay-pal account that will charge to your credit card. Some, a very few, sellers do not like this cause they get charged for the credit card fee. Recomended, is you set up Paypal with a bank account that does not have too much in it. I use my house hold account and leave my major bank account un-touchable. Pay-pal is so much easier and faster.

Setup a PayPal account and you never be sorry about it. I have used it for years with no problems what so ever.
I think those that say they have problems are people who hate everything that isn't exactly what they think is PC with them and will just bad mouth it. Walt

Are you sure the seller accepts anything other than PayPal?

I would contact the seller and ask for an address to send payment to.

eBay and PayPal are owned by the same company, so they get you in every direction.
