I have just purchased a fairly well used dx160 and am having some problems with the battery dying. I do not have any manuals yet but would like to know if there are any external boosting points? Does anyone have any ideas on making the battery more accesible...

Thanks

one more thing you do to get at the battery is remove the 2 screws that hold the headlight panel in and remove the plugs from the lights then remove the panel there are no places to boost other than directly to the battery cable that goes on the starter but what usaulley happens to me ,the booster cable tips down onto the starter just when you climb in the cab.. talk about sparks!!!!! !!!!!

Just grab the lower corners of the grille and pull out, the whole thing will just snap off. Then loosen thumb screw for the AC conderser and fold up. The battery is right there.

You need to find out where the drain is coming from. Hard to tell you cause you have to do some digging around. Last time when worked on one I found that the radio was causing the problem with draining the battery. If you still have the two 6 volt batteries in it take them out and replace them with is 12 volt the same size as the two 6 volt.
