I have an old Lahman skidsteer and I need to find parts for it. Mainly parts for the hydrolic valve manifold.

Agree with Gary on the hyd part. I think Lahman was built in Fargo, and one of the company investors was a MN Viking. Seem to remember that from advertising years ago. Think the company went belly up, sort of like the team!

Googled for Lahman Mfg, and Hecla Mfg. 2nd page on Hecla Mfg found this....Hecla Impl, Lahman parts. 1-605-994-2171. They were made in Hecla, SD, not Fargo, filed bankruptcy some time ago. Hecla is near Aberdeen.

I am new to this forum and haven't really got the hang of how to reply to certain posts, but since buying one of these Lahman Little Dippers a month or two ago, I have done a lot of research in trying to find parts.

They were made by Hecla Manufacturing in South Dakota. The company was sold at an auction in 2000 to Unverferth Manufacturing. This company did not continue to manufacturer these loaders, however Brad Ellerbrok (888) 470-2244 at Unverferth sent me a PDF of the Parts Manual. The manual is very helpful, and indicates that several brands of pumps, motors, and valves were used over the years. All of the part numbers are Hecla Numbers instead of the manufacturer's numbers. For example, I need the small gear pump that operates the bucket. The manual indicates that it is a Webster Pump, but does not have Webster Part Numbers.

Hecla is now known as Hecla Implements (605) 994-2050, and sell farm equipment, but evidently are out of the "manufacturing" business. The President, Jay Osterloh, has been able to help by leading me in the right directions, as he was there in the Hecla Mfg. days.

I hope this information will help others, because these loaders are rare and we are 7 years late on trying to find parts for them.

Gary

Try to find a name on the valve itself of a manufacturer of the valve and go from there.

They most likely purchased that valve from another company and they may be able to supply parts.
