Gents; I am in need of some good /quick ideas to speed design and build or fabricate a shelter for my tractor for the winter months. I have some lumber on hand but would appreciate any and all ideas from those who have done this in need of a speedy shelter. Thanks JIM

Big bales for sides, poles and tarp/poly, etc. on top.

Right now Menards has those fabric buildings for a really good price. I think you can get a 10x20 for about $300 dollars and a 10x25 for around $425. They look like a really quick sturdy shelter for the price. I am thinking about putting one up for my ford 9n and my case trencher backhoe to both sit in. My neighbor has had one up now for about 4 years and it still looks the same as the first day. I think they are a great deal.

I take old grain bins and cut them verticaly in halfs then take the roof off one half and splice the two halfs together instant curvett.

I was in a home hardware and they had a kit with brackets for making a shelter frame with 2x2s. One kit came with a tarp but one didn't so you could make it the size needed. Dave

Build an A frame and throw a tarp over it. I did it for my B last year out of 8 2x4"s. Three A"s with a board connecting them on the top. If you just throw a tarp on it, it will just rip. AL

If you can get a used piece of that rubber roofing that is used on flat roofs, that will work well for over your framework. The wind doesn"t bother it much if you can fasten the edges down. A lot of times if you ask when they are re-doing a roof, they will give you pieces of the old stuff.
