i want to build a fast and powerfull ferguson, have a mercedes 2.5 turbo diesel engine and a ferguson with a cracked block, dont anyone know are have any tips about doing a engine converstion.

that is brillent,, that engine seems, to bolt on to the bellhousing really well,, i say it will be hard for me to get my merc engine on..

i think will be a success.. in top gear with all that extra rpm, i am sure i get 30mph..

There is a guy on the Ferguson board that put a Chevy V8 in a Ferguson tractor their were also photos. It looked like fun! John

I don't think you'ld want to go to fast in a Ferguson. There was a video on here a while ago about someone who made a hot rod tractor. I think it was an MF but not sure. Dave

That 'cedes is a high revving car engine, so if you just want a novelty, it would be OK, but if you wanted a worker, I'd look for a three cylinder Perkins to toss in, it would be an easier fit, anyway. just my $0.002.
