I have been busy so I havent been able to read closely what has been going on but caught you found your old combine (for the most part anyways!). What engine does that use, the 6 cylinder or 4 cylinder turbo? I have the 6 cylinder with new injection pump and it is the whole cradle assembly. Cleaning screen to output shaft. Ran like a top several years ago. Will sell cheap.

I just cannot get over the support we all get across the Internet.

Heck! If I would have had this kind of friendship when I was young, I probably would have turned out much better. :>)

Yes please. My email is open.

Well, I am in South Bend, IN and will travel a little ways to start the chain if we are all serious! I can take pictures to show ya tomorrow. Can't swear it still runs but like I said it did several years ago. What is she worth... you CAN'T upset me if you give a serious bid. I need to get this thing outta my way. The whole cradle with the sheet metal is there.

I'm serious as a heart attack!

How's about I take pictures of my "hole" to show you what all I need.

Basically, what they did was, to remove the hoses off the hydro cooler, off the radiator and they then removed the hydraulic pump and left that part with the machine. They took the accelerator cable, fuel line, A/C lines and drive belt off and lifted the whole darned shootin' match off the combine as one big assembly including the rails. I was hopin' to set another "unit" right back in it's place

If you could get me pictures of what you have on your end, we can compare.

You should know me by now. I pay cash and I don't dance around.

Thanks Pard! Like I say, my email is open on this topic.

Allan

I have what you need! It is the whole thing. I think 4 bolts and the cradle, engine, rotoary screen, output pulley and all. Not sure on the throttle cable though. It is the 6 cylinder and not the 4 cylinder turbo. Will post pics tomorrow if I remember. It has been in my way for too many years and is a shame to let it sit. Came outta an early F2 as it was the short tail. May have some other parts as well so send me a list and I can check on what is here. Pretty sure the hydraulic pump assy is there too. Parted the rest over the years but I think we have some matching tires also. Have to talk to the "superiors" but I think it can be had for a little bit of nothing.

Joe,

They sound like twin sisters! I have two of the four cradle bolts, but all the rest is gone. :>(

Really hoping this will work out.

I'll get some pictures of my "gaping hole" later on this morning so that we can compare machines.

Thanks Buddy!

Allan

Congrats on the combine!!! Sorry, but I don't think I will be any help on the chain, unless you want to run it through NC :)

Hey, thanks ol' Pard.

Yeah, the odds of getting that old sow back were somewhere in between slim and none, so needless to say yesterday was kind of an emotional, topsy-turvy day.

Original plan was to just park the old beater in the trees and look at it from time to time as to remind myself of better days gone by.

Wife says no way, no deal. Make it new again (think she wants me out of the house). :>)

So, here we go. Gonna be a long, happy winter, boys. :>)

Hey IaGary I got a forklift you could use to load and unload if you have a trailer to load and carry. That way you could load the motor in IL and haul to Des moines and load on Robhkents trailer. The only thing I need the lift in the spring.

For those of you unfamiliar with that rollercoaster stretch this is quite an offer.I suspect maybe a stop at Sloroll (by the way, haven't seen him [I think that's the one along that stretch with airplane stories] on here for a while)and then a return trip thru the flatlands a bit further north to check harvest progress?

I could get it from Springfield, Illinois to Walcot, IA. Make a nice Sunday after noon drive. But the problem would be getting it from one truck to another at the hand over point. :>O

I can hump it a ways west from Omaha or Lincoln if I can borrow a pickup-I'm assuming it'll fit in a full size pickup with a shell on it?

I live in north central Iowa, north of Highway 20. If you get an engine coming through northern Iowa or anywhere close, I'll be glad to get it loaded an headed to or towards Omaha.
