I guess Fall has arrived out here. My wife and I planted this little Oak tree when first moved here.

Yep! its a big leaf Oak not sure what type but it sure is pretty this year, it was only about 8 in. high when we planted it in 92.
Th baler all the way to the right is my parts baler the rest are all working machines.
One day while working a field I had a brake down on the NH and then went and got the IH wire baler and when it ran out I went and got the IH twine baler to finish the last 40 or so bales. That was not a good day but I got the job done before it got dark. Spent the next day repairing and loading balers. Its take a good man to put a hundred lb bale of wire in one of those things.
I leave them out because I'm to poor to build a shed and my 60X64 barn is full of hay and tractors. Someday I may hit the lottery and have enough to build a long open front shed over them won't that be nice. I won't have to do so much cleaning in the spring getting ready for Haying but then I won't have so much fun working on them either. I spent two days with power washer cleaning the old grease off that wire baler the last owner believed in greasing everything till it ran out all over the place. There was enough grease left on the baler to keep it grease for many years to come. Personally I think over greasing only makes a mess that one has to clean up later on.

What a nice Picture. Same shade of Red for Tree and Balers at least to my old eyes. Has to be some sort of Catch Phrase for a Picture such as this.

Are you sure that's not a Maple Tree?

Red oak leaves have pointed ends and white oak leaves have rounded ends. Red oak leaves look like maple from a distance.
Easy way to remember is Indians (red) used arrows and white men (white)used bullets. I better go before the PC police track me down.

I wondered that too but there's a few leaves right in the middle that are definitely oak. Some oaks turn this pretty shade of red.

leaving balers outside is rather... a bad idea.

If you are going to use old equipment, it pays to have a spare or two.

I agree. When you use old equipment you can have 2 of each piece much cheaper than just one of the expensive new stuff. I have two of everything. Belts can brake on new stuff. Last year a belt broke on my old haybine. I just hooked to my other (identical) one and finished. If I had not have had it, I would have been sitting there 3 days while the new belt was being ordered. (They do not stock parts for old equipment). By that time, my hay was in the barn.
