My neighbour down the road has a 1959 case 210b with clutch problems. When he split it he found the throwout bearing collar had been spinning & the return spring piled up. He replaced the collar & spring put it together the way he took it apart & it made noises when he fired it up. Split it again found the samething. The collar has a tang on it & its a single disk clutch.Does anybody know which way the bearing goes? Bearing towards the fingers or the fork?

The throughout bearing should have a little peg like petrusion sticking out of one side. If I remember correctly, that goes toward the clutch plate. I will try to remember to look at a picture tomorrow. I do know that if the beaing is backwards, it will cause the spring to jam up.
