I painted my tractor hood on monday (10/22) and usually i wait a few weeks before putting on new decals, but was wondering if they would stick ok if i put them on this weekend? I would like to get everything completed and finished up with the tractor.

I put them on in just a few days after painting and never had a problem. Some decals are cheaper and will bleed and the better ones didn't.If they are sheet decals they may bleed but if you get those on which only the letters come off, I don't think they will bleed.

I have always heard that paint "gasses out" as it is drying and if the decals are put on too soon the gas will cause air bubbles under the decal. Was told that if you can still smell the paint it is not done gassing.
Dont know this for fact, just what I have always heard from vinyl lettering/sign guys.

Heck my decals are usually on within a couple days and there has never been an issue with any of them.
