At tractor shows we see old style cars made from wood, spoke wheels and powered by a small lawn mower type gas motor. Is there a web site with blue print plans or kits to build this type of car ?? Thanks for any help.

If you're feeling adventurous, you could probably come up with your own design. Google "Orient buckboard" or "Waltham Orient" for inspiration. Some others are the Locomobile from about 1899, the Olds from 1903 and the Nash Rambler from 1902-4

There used to be one advertised in Popular Mechanics when I was a kid, called the King Midget.

VADAVE,
Thanks for the link but I could only find the toy sized kits on the site. Looking for the full sized motor powered plans.

Hi OldWood, try Jimmy Woods, PO Box 216, Coker Alabama, 35452, phone # 205-339-8138. He sells plans for a single or two-seater, advertises in a lot of magazines, I found him in Gas Engine Magazine, but have not started on mine as of yet, a freind built his single seat model and was very satisfied with the plans.
