Where is the glass on the lift-all system? I run three systems and sell and repair the systems and never seen any glass thats used on them.

The cylinder had a deep blue enameled look. It is steel but looks like some old cook pans which had a slick blue enamel. I think this is what he meant.

there is a glass cylinder on the right side of the tractor parallel to the motor(ignition/ spark plug side)

what would you say a good price is. i'm trying to trade the lift for a set of rear tires (used), sound good???

to tell you the truth i'm new to this but it sounds and feels like glass. you may be right but i remember someone telling me if the glass isnt broken its worth a lot more. so does anyone have any numbers for a estimated price. if not im bringing it down to the scrap yard and i'll get a few bucks there

You're saying lift-all, and that would be an IH system. But I and others have no idea what this glass or glass-like piece might be. The pneumatic(exhaust) lift-all was a system that ran through hoses from the exhaust to a pneumatic cylinder.

The only glass I'm aware of on a Farmall is the sediment bowl and the light lenses. The reference to enameled steel isn't ringing any bell, either.

Are you talking about something else?

like i said i'm not sure. its a 40s A and people have called them lift-alls, exhaust lift,. when you say

" The pneumatic(exhaust) lift-all was a system that ran through hoses from the exhaust to a pneumatic cylinder."

that is what i think it is.
