Radiator shroud question

I bought a new radiator for my 860 Ford tractor.I took the old one off , removed the shroud and put it on the new one and put it on the tractor. The fan hit the shroud when installed. I took it back off and re-drilled the shroud to get it as low as it can go. In up and down areas in my field ,it still slightly hits.I painted the shroud black to tell where it was hitting and pushed it down a little where it hit and it's working fine but still runs close. Has anyone ever had this problem.

I don't know about Ford tractors but on my MF 135 if I had one front wheel go in a depression the fan would rub. The problem was that the bushing in the front axle pivot was worn out. When the tractor was in getting some other stuff fixed they put 2 new bushings in the axle which is supposed to be the hot set up, especially with a loader. Maybe the Ford has similar bushings in the axle where it pivots? Dave

That just might be my problem.
