I've got a 97 12v cummins that has a bad fuel shut off. Where is the cheapest place to get a new one. The dealers want $350.00 for one. Anybody know of any cheap ones?

I've had two of these, in both cases the solenoid was good, the harness connector was bad. Three insulated butt splices repaired both.

this is the cheapest ive found them, $159.
This one doesnt have the plug on to fit your truck, they have an adaptor ($18) or they have the solenoid with the plug for $185. I took the plug off the old solenoid and put it on the new one.
They are made by woodward (oem maker)

I think it is made by Woodward Sychro-Start, if you want to try that route...

Jaker...I had one go bad while on the road. I put a pin in the bracket and put a shut-off cable like the old Cummins engines had years ago. Been like that for 5 or so years. Pull to run...push in to stop. If you have a manual you will want to insure it in the lock position when out. If the truck gets bumped and rolls any at all when pushed it...it will start. I put mine in 1st gear and lock it out.
There was an article about this in the Diesel Registry magazine a few months back.
Just my 2 cents.

make sure your fuel shutoff relay is good..alot of the "bad solenoids" turn out to be a bad relay..they may be available now thru parts stores, but when I needed one a couple years ago, only places to get it was thru dodge dealer$$ or much cheaper thru Cummins..
