I am restoring a 1954 MH Pony that was used by a town for highway mowing with a sickle bar. I have purchased new R3 diamond patterned rears from Goodyear What would a highway dept normally use as a setup for the front with the R3 rears ? (a tri rib or 5 rib)This tractor will be for occasional use and mostly display. Any input on this?

Thanks Ed

What size are the rims?

If you can't find anything else that would look right, I would go with a 5 rib implement tire.

A 3 or 4 rib front tractor tire would cut into the grass too much to be matched up with a pair of turf tires on the back...

Our Cub Low Boy has the big diamond pattern rears and turf tires on the front. But you may not find turf tires that narrow, though.

Don't know if it is original or not, but my Pony has single rib front tires on it.
