I just bought 2 mags off of ebay they said that they fit the 22-30 or something like that and they figured that they would fit the 10-20 also, are they right, I have a 1928 10-20 I paid 9.99 for one and 12.50 for the other one. The guy said one was hot and not sure about the other, If not is it hard to get them in working order, did I get a good buy or not?

Yep you stole those! The F-4 ones for 22-36 will fit 10-20 F-20 F-30 F12 F14 ect. They will work on the older tractors with the right coupler parts. and vise versa for the E4A mags for the late 20s. Just be sure the points are clean and see if that gets them working. Any more that that I am lost and send them to a mag shop.
