This is a timing question. I have a 460 farmall with a 301 gas. I have the 460 governor on it so it only runs about 2000 rpm wide open. The timing degrees are supposed to be set a 22 at 2640 rpm. What do I set it at when timing at 2000 rpm? Thanks for any help.

From what I was taught for figuring timing when using propane, you need to have the end of combustion at 10 degrees past top dead center.

Using 22 degrees at 2640 you have a fuel burn of 32 degrees of crankshaft rotation. Assuming the time required to burn the fuel remains the same, at 2000 RPM the total crankshaft rotation would be 24 degrees. Subtracting the 10 degrees after TDC for the end of burn, you would need to set the timing to 14 degrees before TDC.
