This is about a 1970 model diesel. A hay baler works fine off the remote line but the lift won't pick up anything heavy until I rev up the motor to about 1800 rpm's, although it will pick me up at idle. Any ideas?

There are several different ways to hook up remote hydraulics on a 165. Some methods use the main hydraulic pump and some use the auxillary pump. The 3 point hitch works off from the main pump. Chances are your remotes are using the auxillary pump and the main pump is tired.
