Grain trucks going to port....

Man, you guys are really working this year.
I work near the Port in Houston. I have to run the road the trucks do to get to the port.
In years past we would see trucks lined up to unload at the port for a couple of weeks and that was it.
Man, this years we have had 2 months solid of grain trucks and the lines are still miles long every morning. Even the trains with grain cars are much longer than usal.
Sure is a lot of grain going somewhere this year.
Not complaining...just noticed there is sure a lot of it going to port.

I sold the last load of spring wheat yesterday to flour mill in mankato, Mn. for 8.00 bushel. What a treat.

I've seen some elevators at just over $8! Glad some farmers are finally making a little money this year after the disasters of the last few years...

THe problem is that the yields were half to 2/3 of normal so the end result is the same. Plus add to that a 25 to 40% increase in input costs and making even the normal profit will be a challenge in the next 18 months.
