Is this stuff any good? It was pricy, but it has the sca allready in it and is good for 12,000 hours. I put some in my diesel 2600 today. How does it mix with others? It is an orange color

Mixing it will cause your SCA level to drop. You should do a complete flush and refill. If I recall correctly, this is the same thing as Shells Rotella antifreeze, just relabeled for Wally World.

Sure, we all have seen antifreeze labeled as "heavy duty". Ever seen any labeled as "light duty"?

I've used Texaco's extended life anti-freeze (Dexcool) for gasoline engines for over 11 years now in both old and new vehicles with excellent results. The bad reputation came from GM using sealer in some of the new cars and trucks. I have also used the Texaco (now Shell) extended life anti-freeze for diesels for over 10 years again with excellent results. Benefits are no water pump failures, everything stays super clean, and no messing with scn's. This new orange anti-freeze will actually clean up a dirty system. Just drain after 50 to 100 hours and refill with new anti-freeze.

That sounds like GM's "Dexcool". There has been several discussions about this stuff here , including how it forms a cottage cheese sludge under certain conditions. Make mine green..... ....

The Dexcool causes problems in Dodge vehicles - something about the sealant they use with gaskets will loosen up with Dexcool.

Does it say for use in diesel engines ? Diesel engines need a different additive package in the coolant to protect it from liner cavatation. You will not find the correct additive package in antifreeze intended only for gasoline engines, while the diesel rated stuff is good for either gas or diesel.
