Well, it depends. First off, you would have a much better chance with a mounted plow. Second, what kind of soil do you have? Soil makes a lot of difference. Here in the Clarion Webster soil association of north central Iowa, there is not much plowing any more. When there was, plows pulled much easier in the spring. However, spring plowed land did not work up very easily. In the spring we pulled 2 14's with a 1939 John Deere B many years ago. Haven't plowed any in a couple of decades.

We pulled a 3-14 Allis plow with a WD. We also pulled the same plow with a WC in 2nd gear. It worked a lot better with the WD.
